Shillong, Nov 1: The Border Security Force (BSF) foiled major smuggling attempts along the Indo-Bangladesh Border on Nov 1. The BSF troops of 97 BN deployed at Sonapur bridge in East Jaintia Hills district of Meghalaya, confiscated a truck, crammed with 37.

The seized cattle were meant to be smuggled to Bangladesh through Umkiang/Kuliang border area and were found tethered and crammed cruelly, violating the act of prevention against cruelty to animals.

The BSF troops have always been watchful to curb smuggling and other unwanted activities along the Indo-Bangla border.

The troops from the BSF serve the people of the border areas with dedication and stand against all odds to safeguard the borders across the country.
