BSF Meghalaya Frontier gets new Inspector General

Shillong, Dec 24: Inspector General Pradip Kumar took over the charge of the Border Security Force (BSF), Meghalaya Frontier, on Saturday.

Kumar succeeds Inspector General Inderjit Singh Rana who is now posted to BSF training centre, Hazaribagh, after successfully commanding BSF Frontier Meghalaya for 01 year and 06 months.

Kumar is a 2003 batch IPS from Tamilnadu cadre and has remained as DIG Confidential/ Vigilance at Force Headquarters, New Delhi, before taking over the charge of BSF Frontier Meghalaya.

On taking over the charge of the Frontier, Kumar emphasized on the cooperation and coordination among all the stakeholders for effective management of border with Bangladesh. Development and upliftment of border population would remain our prime concern, he added.
