Shillong, Jan 30: The state Cabinet on Thursday approved an ordinance for incorporation of the changes made by the Goods and Services Tax Council (GSTC).
Addressing media persons after the meeting, chief minister Conrad K Sangma said, “There were certain changes adopted in the GSTC which will now be incorporated and this ordinance was brought in to regularise those decisions made by the GSTC in our own Meghalaya Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. “
According to him, all state governments are required to bring the necessary amendments to their own GST Acts.
