It is to be mentioned that all the group matches for the U-18 Boy’s Football competition are being held at the Govt Boy’s Higher School Playground, Chandmari, Tura. Only the semi-finals and final would be played on a different venue.

As of now, the screening process has been completed for the U-18 boys' football teams from several districts, including Ri Bhoi, East Garo Hills, South West Garo Hills, East Jantia Hills, West Jantia Hills, South Garo Hills, and West Garo Hills. However, several teams are yet to undergo the screening process.
The much-anticipated 5th Meghalaya Games 2024 in Tura will host over 3000 athletes from across the state, with the East Khasi Hills District having the highest number of participants. Till Monday (January 8, 2024), 670 athletes from East Khasi Hills District had registered for the upcoming games.
