Shillong, June 21: MLA/MDC from Mawhati, Charles Marngar was felicitated on Wednesday after he was elected unopposed as the Deputy Chairman of the KHADC.

This comes a day after newly elected CEM, Pyniaid Sing Syiem also informed that the ruling alliance has decided to nominate Congress MDC from Mawhati, Charles Marngar to contest the election to the post of Deputy Chairman.

Earlier, KHADC chairman, Lamphrang Blah had informed that the election for the post of the Deputy Chairman will be held on Wednesday.

The election for the post of the Deputy Chairman was held following the resignation NPP MDC from Mawsynram, Alvin K. Sawkmie.
