Shillong, July 21: Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Friday released the poster of renowned filmmaker from Meghalaya, Dominic Megam Sangma’s feature film ‘Rapture’.

Dominic Megam Sangma met Conrad Sangma on Friday at his office.

Dominic’s feature film ‘Rapture’ has been selected for the Locarno Film Festival, Switzerland in a world competition in Concorso Cineaste del Presente section.

Taking to Twitter, CM Conrad Tweeted, “Renowned filmmaker from Meghalaya, Dominic Megam Sangma met me today and gave me the honour of releasing the poster of his feature film ‘Rapture’ which has been selected at the distinguished Locarno Film Festival, Switzerland in a world competition in Concorso Cineaste del Presente section.

CM also mentioned about Dominic’s first feature film, Ma.Ama which became the 1st Garo film to win the National Award, including ‘Best Cinematography Award’ at the 22nd Shanghai International Film Festival in 2019.

CM Conrad also wished the best for Dominic and his team.

“This is another feather to Dominic’s creative hat after his first feature film, Ma.Ama became the 1st Garo film to win the National Award, including ‘Best Cinematography Award’ at the 22nd Shanghai International Film Festival in 2019. My best wishes to him and his team!”
