CM Conrad Sangma congratulates Meghalaya Police for creating national record by organising 1263 Drug Awareness Programs

Shillong, June 26: Meghalaya Police on Monday created a national record by organising 1263 Drug Awareness Programs under Nasha Mukt Bharat Pakhwada to create awareness amongst the people on drug abuse.

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Monday congratulated Meghalaya Police for their awareness programs on drug abuse amongst the people of the state.

The awareness program was led by Director General of Meghalaya Police, Dr L R Bishnoi.

Dr L R Bishnoi also thanked Chief Minister Conrad Sangma for his gracious appreciation and consistent guidance and encouragement.

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday extend his greetings to all the anti-narcotics warriors for putting up a brave fight against the menace of Drugs on International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.

Amit Shah said that India dealt the mightiest blow to the narcotics trade.

“The top-to-bottom approach to the investigation led to massive crackdowns on the evil. I applaud Narcotics bureau and other organizations for their relentless efforts”, he said.
