Thadlaskein, Feb 13: The War Mynso Clan as the Yung Dorbar, or Community Hall, was inaugurated in Mynso A Village, West Jaiñtia Hills. The ceremony, graced by Rev. Dr. Fr Ioannis War and Rev. BB Lamin alongside Clan members, celebrated the completion of the hall.

Chairman Jimmy War informed that the Yung Dorbar, costing Rs. 45 lakhs, had its construction initiated in 2017 and finalized in 2023. Funds were accrued from the Clan’s forest through the sale of trees, he added.

Expressing delight, Rev. BB Lamin praised the Clan’s endeavor, emphasizing the hall’s communal significance beyond Clan boundaries. He commended the Clan’s leadership for their diligence in ensuring timely completion.

Rev. Dr. Fr Ioannis War, known for his 1990 book on the Clan’s history, said that there is a need for revision, acknowledging the emergence of new developments and historical insights over time.

Members of the Clan aged 80 and above were also honored during the ceremony.
