Shillong, Mar 5: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma today announced the Chief Minister’s Scholarship Scheme, a new flagship program that will benefit 80,000 youth from the next financial year.
“A grant of ₹6,000 per annum will be provided to all post matriculate students to enable them to cover educational expenses”, he said while presenting the budget.
An amount of 48 Cr has been earmarked for the implementation of the scheme from next financial year.
