Rongjeng, March 24: National President of NPP & Meghalaya CM Conrad K Sangma at an election campaign in Mangsang under Darugre GHADC constituency on Wednesday said that people should vote for a party that listens to the people.

He said that Congress has lost its political ground across India and they have no political will anymore.
They have no option in the party even for party president post in State or Centre level.
He urged the people to vote for the ruling party – NPP, because council cannot function without the support of the State and Centre.
He also informed the gathering that centre has accorded sanction of ₹700 cr for district councils of Meghalaya, of which GHADC will get around ₹250 cr for creating development assets for Garo Hills.
Urging the people to not get carried away by false propaganda of Congress, he appealed the people to vote for NPP and its candidates.
At Mangsang, he campaigned for Darugre candidate Henen R Sangma.
CM also campaigned for Darugre candidate at Rongjeng in East Garo Hills with Dy Speaker & senior NPP leader Timothy D Shira and Marcuise Marak and Jim Sangma.
Speaking at an election rally Timothy D Shira lambasted Congress for their tall promise to reform GHADC.
He said that Congress is an expert in lying, they are not in power in State or Centre, how can they transform GHADC.
He urged the people to be conscious of their rights and vote for NPP to ensure concerted development in the State.
At an election rally in Rongjeng, Govt Chief Whip & NPP leader Marcuise Marak said that prior to NPP regime in council, the Congress party has failed the council with financial mismanagement.
He told the gathering that NPP has been working to create transparent financial and management system in the council.
He said that NPP is committed to further strengthen the GHADC. He urged the public not to buy the lies being spread by the Congress party.
