Imphal, Feb 13: A tragic case of fratricide unfolded at a CRPF camp in Lamsang, Imphal West, on Tuesday night when a jawan from the F-120 Company opened fire on his colleagues. The incident, which occurred around 8 PM, resulted in the deaths of two CRPF personnel on the spot and left eight others injured. The assailant later turned his service weapon on himself, ending his life.
Senior police and CRPF officials rushed to the site as the news spread, launching an immediate investigation into the shocking turn of events. The injured personnel were swiftly evacuated for medical treatment.
