Daniel K Khyriemmujat of St Anthony’s School tops MBOSE HSSLC Arts

Shillong, Aug 5: Meghalaya Board of School Education on Thursday declared the results of the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) Arts stream.

The total of  pass percentage including both regular and non regular candidates this year is 80.75.

St Anthony’s school once again bagged majority of the merit list along with St Edmund’s also in the top list.

The first rank was secured by Daniel K Khyriemmujat (St Anthony’s Hr. Sec) securing 462 marks. Second was secured by L Kennedy Vaiphei (St Edmund’s Hr. Sec) securing 450 marks. Third rank was secured by Jethro Jyrwa securing 449 marks.

A total of 25,683 candidates appeared for the exams out of which 20,740 passed the examinations.

Speaking with mediapersons, Daniel said that he couldn’t express in words the feeling that he had.

“It was challenging because all the teachers were able to help only through online platform, however with the help of teachers we gave our best shot and we did it,” mentioned Daniel, a resident of Malki.

“Give your best in what you do; don’t focus much on the results, ultimately when you’ll be giving your best effort the result you will yield from it will be the best one,” advised Daniel for the young ones out there.

Overwhelmed with all the teachers congratulating him, Jethro said that his hard work has paid off and that he did have to put in a little bit extra effort.

“The teachers have really played a major role in helping not only me but all the students to give our best,” said Jethro.

St Edmund’s student securing the second position, Kennedy Vaiphei had to attend to several phone calls as he was far away from Shillong and was at his native place in Manipur.

“I did work hard for this exams to ensure that I am in the merit list, I am satisfied with my results. I did face a lot of challenge amid the pandemic. Network connection was a major challenge,” stated Kennedy.

He also advised younger ones to take the class test as much as possible and to be an active student. He added that students should ask lost of questions as well.
