DC asks students to enroll for National Scholarship Portal

Shillong, May 27: The Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat has informed that all students availing benefits from different types of scholarships schemes via National Scholarship Portal (NSP) are advised to complete their Aadhaar enrolment in advance before the NSP portal opens for different scholarship schemes.

Upon receiving the Aadhar cards, applicants are advised that their Aadhar cards to be linked with their own bank account to enable seamless disbursement of scholarship funds.

Further, as per the latest scholarship guidelines, and Government Notification, regarding Income Certificates, only the Income Certificates issued by the Deputy Commissioners of all districts, Sub-Divisional Officers of the Sub-Divisions and Block Development Officers will be acceptable during scholarship application. Certificates issued by different Authorities or by affidavit will no longer be acceptable.
