Tura, Oct 13: The body of an unidentified person was recovered from a stream by the North Garo Hills police.

It is suspected to be a murder case. The highly decomposed body was recovered on Thursday from the Bolrimil stream at Tatolgre under the Bajengdoba police station.

On the same day, a spot inquest was conducted by the magistrate in the evening.

Meanwhile, a postmortem was conducted, and the body was shifted to the mortuary house.

Also, messages have been sent to different areas for reports of any missing persons.

The victim was found to be wearing black pants and shirt and is said to be around 5.5.ft.

Also, Police have registered a case and have started an investigation with all indications that it was a murder.
