Shillong, Jan 17: The Deputy Chief Miniter, Sniawbhalang Dhar, along with Revenue Minister, Kyrmen Shylla, on Wednesday unveiled the statue of Woh Tep Kyndait at Tuber Kmai Chnong, East Jaiñtia Hills.
The programme was organised by Seiñraij Tuber and presided over by Harvis Phawa, the President of Seiñraij Tuber.
Kyrmen Shylla, the guest of honour, in his speech, urged upon Dhar to bring in a road connection from the National Highway to the Khloo Blai (Sacred Grove) within the village of Tuber Kmai Chnong to ease the travel of the locals and especially the tourists.
Sniawbhalang Dhar lauded the villagers under Raij Tuber, who work together to bring in all-round development in the area.
He also assured the gathering that he, along with Kyrmen Shylla, would try to find ways to bring road connectivity to Khloo Blai.
Other presidents during the gathering were Puramon Kynjing, the Dolloi of Elaka Jowai, and Wailadmiki Shylla, the MLA of 2-Jowal, among others.
