Dibrugarh, Mar 2: The Dibrugarh University will introduce a Japanese language course from the next academic year.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced the initiative, highlighting its potential to equip students with valuable skills.
The course aims to strengthen ties with Japan, which is playing a crucial role in Assam’s industrial and infrastructural growth. This will open new educational and employment avenues for local youth.
A Japan Caravan was recently hosted on the university campus by the Japan Foundation, promoting cultural and academic exchanges. The event showcased Japan’s commitment to fostering stronger ties with India.
CM Sarma expressed his support for the initiative on social media, calling it a significant stride in broadening academic horizons and creating global opportunities for Assamese students.
