Nongpoh, May 03: The Dorbar Shnong Pahamrioh Them in Ri Bhoi, along with the Seng Samla Shnong, on Friday inspected the dhabas and restaurants.
The inspection comes as the Dorbor had received complaints that the business entites in the area are not adhering to local laws.
During the inspection, it was found that the non-tribal workers and staffs had no proper documentation including the mandatory labour license.
Headman Ronald Khongjoh and Seng Samla President Banjop Ryndong were present during the inspection.
They also informed that many of the non-tribal workers had documentation from Deputy Commissioner’s office but as mandated they did not have paper works from the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC).
The headman has issued a stern warning to the individuals working in the village without proper documentation and have directed them to obtain the necessary papers.
