Deputy Commissioner of West Garo Hills district, Jagdish Chelani, says that the drug abuse and illicit drug trade exists in the region due of demand and supply side to it. However, various agencies and the community are working to raise awareness on the issue to educate the youth of the dire consequences of drug abuse or substance abuse.
