Early morning car collision in Tura

Tura, June 29: An Assam registered car rammed into a car parked on the side of the road near Araimile Post Office in Tura on Saturday morning, causing significant damage to both cars.

A Zen car, with registration number AS01BF3869, collided with a parked Alto, bearing registration no. ML08C 9298, near Araimile Post Office, when the Zen car was proceeding towards Araimile Police Station. The incident occurred at around 9.40 AM.

The impact caused the Zen car to overturn, which hindered the morning traffic. Instead of waiting for the police to arrive and clear the road, the people in the area quickly came to the driver’s aid and helped move the overturned car to the side of the road.

Soon after, the police arrived and took the driver, identified as 56-year-old Rakjeng Marak, to the hospital for medical examination where he was treated for minor injuries. He was later released on a PR bond.

Meanwhile, both cars have been taken to the police station for further action.
