Shillong, Sep 28: Eid Milad-un-Nabi was celebrated in Shillong on Thursday to mark the birth anniversary of the founder of Islam, Prophet Muhammad.

Muslims from all over the world celebrated Eid Milad-un-Nabi on Thursday.

The date of the festival depends on the position of the moon.

This year, Milad-un-Nabi started on Wednesday evening and will end on Thursday evening.

To mark the Eid Milad-un-Nabi celebration, prayers were performed in mosques on behalf of Muslim Samaj, and a religious Shobha Yatra was also taken out in Shillong.

Prophet Muhammad is highly revered by Muslims as the last and final prophet of Allah. His birth anniversary is an important occasion for Muslims to reflect on his teachings and the impact he had on the world.

On Eid Milad-un-Nabi, people offer prayers and spread love and peace among fellow believers.
