SHILLONG, APR 28: The Expert Committee on the State Reservation Policy has decided to issue a public notice to seek consultations, suggestions and comments from stakeholders on the State Reservation Policy.
The decision was taken during the second physical meeting of the Expert Committee held in the state capital in Shillong on Saturday.
An official statement informed that the Committee decided that a Public Notice will be issued soon to seek Consultations/Suggestions/Comments on the State Reservation Policy.
It was also decided that the Public Hearings will be conducted in Shillong and all other district headquarters or any other place(s) as the committee may decide after receiving comments/ suggestions from stakeholders.
The next meeting of the committee is scheduled in the month of May, 2024.
The Expert Committee on the State Reservation Policy, Meghalaya was constituted on September 12, 2023 under the Chairmanship of Justice (Retd) Mool Chand Garg along with four members – Justice (Retd.) Dr. Satish Chandra, Prof. D.V. Kumar, Prof. Chander Shekhar and and Prof. Subhadip Mukherjee.
The meeting was also attended by officials of the Personnel Department.
