Williamnagar, July 9: In a touching tribute, Loyola College alumni gathered today at 1:00 p.m. to bid farewell to their esteemed principal, Fr. Sunny Augustine S.J., who has been transferred to St. Xavier’s College, Umoid.

The event was designed to create lasting memories, commencing with a captivating cavalcade of cars led by six motorcyclists from the college, parading through Williamnagar.

Alumni paid homage to their beloved principal by presenting him with a traditional Garo Headgear and waistcoat. Numerous alumni took the stage, expressing profound gratitude for the transformative impact Fr. Sunny Augustine has had on their lives.

Over the past decade, Loyola College has experienced an extraordinary surge in enrollment and witnessed significant campus development. The college’s reputation extends beyond Meghalaya, attracting students from Manipur, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and various other regions for a wide range of undergraduate programs. Many of Loyola’s graduates have now found meaningful employment in both the public and private sectors, effectively contributing to the betterment of their respective communities.
