Tura, Sept 16: In an anti-narcotics operation, North Garo Hills police apprehended a female drug peddler and recovered 23.93 grams of heroin from her possession.

The arrest took place on Saturday along NH 51 in Bajengdoba, North Garo Hills.

Acting on reliable intelligence, the police team from Bajengdoba Police Station apprehended the suspect, identified as Dellina Ch Sangma, from Kosichora near Bajengdoba police station.

A case has been registered at the Bajengdoba police station under the relevant provisions of the law.
