Karimganj, July 23: Five people died, including two minors in a road accident in Assam’s Karimganj district on Tuesday.
The incident occurred when a car collided head-on with an auto-rickshaw on National Highway 8 in the Nilam Bazar area of the district.
According to reports, a Hyundai Venue car (AS11 S 8323) crashed into an auto-rickshaw (AS 10BC 2061). The collision resulted in three immediate fatalities at the scene.
One more victim died before the ambulance arrived.
One critically injured passenger was rushed to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Karimganj SP Parth Pratim Das and Accidenthave reached the accident site to assess the situation.
