GHADC Budget Session: NPP alliance tables over Rs.199 cr budget

Tura, Sept 8: The CEM of GHADC Benedic R Marak placed a budget amounting to Rs 199 crores 23 lakh 26 thousand six hundred and seventy nine for the current financial year of the council on the last day of the Budget Session on Wednesday in Tura. This is the biggest budget allocation placed by the GHADC in its history.

There are 22 departments in the GHADC.

– The Land and revenue department:- 12,87,02,832/-

– Taxation Department- Rs. 5,48,95,525/-

– Forest Department- 21,18,26,600/-

– Administration of Justice Department- Rs 2,83,56,880/-

– General Administration department- Rs. 10,66,23,156/-

– Civil Works- Rs. 65,93,39,610/-

– Agriculture department- Rs. 16,18,47,756/-

-Rural Development- Rs. 3,80,06,980/-

– Council Transport- Rs. 2,84,63,560/-

-Loans and Advances- 29,40,00,000/-

– Relief and Rehabilitation- Rs. 77,35,548/-

– Rural Administration- Rs 8,36,98,088/-

– Council Printing Press- Rs 2,63,11,914/-

– Legislative Department- Rs 3,18,03,600/-

– Water Works- Rs 4,03,44,948/-

– Tourism Department- 4,78,71,312/-

– Finance Department- Rs 2,92,70,570/-

Besides the GHADC’s own funds, government grants are also expected under various departments to the tune of Rs. 60,25,00,000 while an additional Rs. 3,00,000 is expected from the share of licence fees from the cotton growers association.
