Tura, Sep 17: Employees of GHADC are to get pending salaries of four months following the state government releasing the advance forest royalty share of the council on Friday.
GHADC Chief Executive Member Benedic R Marak received the official letter of the royalty share from the hands of Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma at the state Secretariat in Shillong.
Present with the CEM to receive the release document were Deputy CEM Nikman Ch Marak and Council Chairman Rakesh A Sangma.
The GHADC employees have pending salaries of over two years and the new EC headed by the NPP has assured the staff of obtaining funds to release their dues periodically.
Nikman Marak, Dy CEM in a social media post stated that the release of royalty share by the state government will help pay employees for four months of their dues.
