Williamnagar, April 11: East Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner, Vibhor Aggarwal, has issued a circular asking the government employees including the Deficit and Adhoc school teachers to surrender their respective ration cards for AAY and PHH categories under the National Food Security Act, 2013 latest by April 30.
The circular, issued by the Deputy Commissioner (Supply), said that surrendering of the ration cards which are in possession of government employees including the deficit and adhoc school teachers will pave way for the genuine poor and needy families, labourers, persons with disabilities, etc. to avail the benefits of the NFSA, 2013.
Further, the circular also stated that the list of Govt. employees holding ration cards is being prepared and will be dealt with the provisions of law if the cards are not surrendered within the stipulated time.
