Ladakh, Jan 31: In Ladakh, gazers have reportedly confronted the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China, forcing them to retreat after being prevented from grazing their livestock near the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
The region had turned into a “no-man’s land” for local cattle grazers in Eastern Ladakh following the Galwan incident in 2020.
A video which has gone viral, shows villagers hurling stones at PLA soldiers who attempted to stop them from grazing their cattle by arriving in armored vehicles. Over the past three years, nomads in Eastern Ladakh have faced the loss of grazing rights in multiple areas near the LAC.
