After IMF predicts India’s continued growth in 2024, Assam CM sees nation emerging as Economic Powerhouse

Guwahati, Jan 31: Following the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) projection that India will continue to be the world’s fastest-growing economy in 2024, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma acknowledged India’s impending status as an economic powerhouse in the years to come.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Assam CM shared a post by the IMF’s X account where a list was shown with India showing the highest growth rate forecast at 6.5 percent.

Sharing the IMF report, Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the IMF’s outlook is loud and clear: India is set to remain the fastest-growing economy in the world.

The IMF growth forecast for the year 2024 has put India at the highest with 6.5 percent. India has beaten major economies like those of the USA, Germany, France, China, and Russia, among others.

“IMF’s outlook is loud and clear. Bharat’s growth projection has been revised upward, and it remains the fastest-growing economy in the world. Our journey to become the world’s third-largest economy in Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s third term is now inevitable,” stated Sarma.
