GSU’s Khasi Hills Zone elects new office bearers

Shillong, July 1: The Garo Students’ Union (GSU), Khasi Hills Zone, has elected its new office bearers with Tengku M Marak elected as the President.

The election for the zone was held on June 29, 2024 at the Garo Union Secondary School, Shillong. A’chik students and regional units, took part in the electoral process.

Other elected office bearers set to lead the union and represent the A’chik community in the Khasi Hills region are: Chelsea R Marak as the Vice President, Greig N Sangma as the General Secretary, Ronggrik Arengh as the Assistant General Secretary, Ringchi A Sangma as the Additional General Secretary, Thaseng N Marak as the Chief – Organising Secretary, Niksan N Sangma as the Organising Secretary, and Briston K Momin as the in- charge for games and sports.

These office bearers have been tasked with welfare of the A’chik community and advocate their rights, address their concerns, and promote educational and cultural activities within the Khasi Hills Zone.
