Guwahati, Mar 23: Guwahati is gearing up to witness top-tier cricket action once again, showcasing the skills of IPL franchises.The Barsapara Cricket Stadium is all set to host two IPL matches for the second consecutive year.

The match dates are yet to be disclosed, as per the sources probably they will likely fall in the third and fourth weeks of May.

The Rajasthan-based franchise will be the home team for these clashes. Ranjit Barthakur, Executive Chairman of Royal Multisport, the entity behind Rajasthan Royals, has officially confirmed the news.

The decision to bring IPL action back to Guwahati follows the success of last seasons.
