Shillong, April 23 : Hanuman Jayanti was observed with religious fervor in Shillong along with the rest of the country on Tuesday.

Hundreds of devotees flocked the Garikhana Hanuman temple in the morning to worship lord Hanuman. A procession unfolded later where devotees chanted “Jai Shree Ram” back and forth from temple to Anjali petrol pump.

Hanuman Jayanti is one of the important Hindu festival wherein the devotees visit temples and apply tilak or sindoor on their foreheads as a mark of reverence.
