Shillong, May 5: Hardwork and perseverance are essential for achieving success, says Idawanplishisha Swer of St Edmund’s Higher Secondary School, who topped the HSSLC examination for Arts stream, the results of which were declared on Monday.
Swer said that she started studying right from the beginning of the academic session.
“There are struggles but I put that aside. Even though I get distracted but whenever I get time I study,”she said.
Aspiring to become an IAS officer, Swer attributed the success to her teachers and her school and said, “The school plays huge role in my life. I thank my teachers. I thank the school for conducting tests and exams all the time. The school and the teachers inspires me to study.”
Emphasizing the need to set a target in life, Swer said, “You need to put in hardwork from the beginning of the year, you will achieve the fruit of success.”
Swer will be pursuing her higher studies with political science as her main subject.
