Shillong, April 18: Cabinet Minister and Pynthorumkhrah legislator, Alexander Laloo Hek on Tuesday informed that he had personally met Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma to apprise him on the issue of roster system and other issues.
Speaking to reporters, Hek said that personally he feels that the roster system should be implemented prospectively not retrospectively.
Hek stated that if there is a need to review the present state reservation policy, a proper discussion should be called and everyone should be taken onboard.
The BJP legislator informed that from the BJP side they have constituted a committee on this matter with former MLA, HM Shangpliang as the convener and other members of the committee include party MLA, Sanbor Shullai, Party president, Ernest Mawrie, BJP spokesperson, M. Kharkrang, party legal advisers—Vivan G Kynta and SP Mahanta, and the two party leaders from Garo Hills – Edmund K Sangma and Ferlin CA Sangma.
