Must read

Shillong, Feb 6: Hundreds of BJP supporters on Monday participated in the rally led by Pynthorumkhrah candidate AL Hek and was accompanied by Union Minister Jitendra Singh.

The Deputy Commissioner’s office gate in Shillong was packed with supporters of different political parties.

Hek will be contesting against his nephew NPP candidate Rocky Hek, Congress candidate PN Syiem and Independent candidate Samborlang Diengdoh who was earlier TMC candidate.

Speaking with media persons, Hek said the people of his constituency and party are projecting him as the CM’s face. He added that today the love of the people and the support has shown the clarity that people are behind him.

He added that this time working under the MDA govt under NPP there has been a lot of corruption taking place in the state. “If you go to taxi stand and tea stall, they will tell you about the high level of corruption in the state,” said Hek.

Asked about the allegations made by his nephew Rocky that there has been no development under his tenure in 25 years, he said, “Any opponent fighting elections, those who can see they make them blind, those who are capable to walk they make them lame that is the role of the opponent.”

He also reiterated that no govt can be formed without BJP. “The BJP will get more than two digit number and there will be a double engine govt,” said Hek.
