Guwahati, July 6: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday praised the exemplary efforts of Assam Police in combating the drug menace.
In a Tweet, he said, “Exemplary efforts of Assam Police in combating the drug menace are highly appreciated. Keep up the good work!”
On Wednesday, July 5, @karbianglongpol seized 94 cases of soap containing 1.176 kg of heroin at Laharijan along the Assam border from two drug dealers.

On Wednesday, the Karbi Anglongpol police seized 94 cases of soap containing 1.176 kg of heroin at Laharijan along the Assam border from two drug dealers.
CM also praised Karimganj Police after they seized a total of 10,000 YABA tablets, weighing 1.024 kg, and 12.5 kg of Ganja in two separate operations at Nilambazar.
Legal action against the same has been initiated against the four accused involved.
