Hindu devotees in Jowai mark Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir inauguration with Kalash Yatra

Shillong, Jan 21: Ahead of inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, Hindu followers in Jowai marked the occasion with a vibrant Kalash Yatra. Devotees gathered at the picturesque Syntu Ksiar along the Myntdu River. Here, women, accompanied by men and children, reverently collected water from the river in earthen pots. The procession was further enhanced by the presence of a musical ensemble, the Baja Wala.

The procession from Syntu Ksiar continued on foot, with the devoted participants joyfully dancing their way to the Ram Mandir at Iawmusiang. The water-filled pots, collected with reverence along the Myntdu River, are set to be placed at the Mandir for today evening’s and tomorrow’s Puja.

Pawan Sanchety, the General Secretary of Vishva Hindu Parishad, Meghalaya, shared insights, mentioning that during the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, water from the Myntdu River and soil were transported to Ayodhya for use in the Mandir’s construction.

Additionally, he conveyed that religious leaders and individuals from Meghalaya are present in Ayodhya to partake in the momentous inaugural ceremony of the Ram Temple.
