Shillong, Jan 26: State home minister, Lahkmen Rymbui has sought a detailed report from the state Director General of Police (DGP) R Chandranathan into the recent killing of six coal labourers in a mining accident in East Jaintia Hills district.

Rymbui informed that the DGP has conducted an inspection to the place of occurrence at Sorkari near Deinshalu and Rymbui village.

“I am waiting for him (DGP) to submit a report on this regard,” he said.

It may be mentioned here that the state police has registered a criminal case in connection with the coal mining accident on January 22.
