Bangladesh national arrested
Guwahati: A Bangladesh national arrested by the CID of the West Bengal police in connection with the murder of Bangladesh MP Md. Anwarul Azim Anar in Kolkata was sent to 12 days of police custody by a city court on Friday. The suspect, Jihad Hawladar(24) is an illegal immigrant from Bangladesh.
6 more deaths in heat stroke
Guwahati: Six more deaths were reported due to heat stroke in Rajasthan, where the mercury soared to 49 degrees celsius. There were reports of five deaths due to suspected heat stroke in the state on Thursday as well.
