ICFAI University Tura hosts cultural fest celebrating ‘Unity in Diversity’

Tura, April 22: ICFAI University Meghalaya, Tura, organised a cultural programme on Tuesday at the Tura District Auditorium.

The event, held under the theme “Unity in Diversity,” brought together students from different institutions across Tura to celebrate culture, tradition and togetherness.

Highlights of the event included an inter-institutional cultural dance competition and ethnic food stalls, where students showcased their talents and shared traditional dishes from their communities.

The programme aimed to help students appreciate each other’s cultures and build stronger bonds through fun and meaningful activities.

Dr. Meril N. Sangma, Administrator of Mason Philips Academy, was the Chief Guest. In his speech, he said such events help young people understand and respect one another better. He praised ICFAI University for the initiative and later inaugurated the ethnic food stalls, which were a major attraction.

The dance competition and food stalls were judged by Sume G.B. Sangma and Wanne G. Momin, who selected the winners based on creativity, expression, and authenticity.
