India-France Joint Military Exercise concludes, emphasis on bilateral cooperation and inter-operability

Shillong, May 26: The 7th edition of the India-France Joint Military Exercise ‘SHAKTI, 2023-2024’ concluded on May 26, 2024 at Umroi Cantt.

The 14-day India-France military exercise was attended by ambassador of France, and aimed at enhancing inter-operability and co-operation between the Indian and French armies. The military exercise showcased a display of tactical manoeuvres and strategic coordination.

High-ranking officials from both the nations were present for the military exercise. France commandant in charge V.Seiler and Sandeep Jaiswal attended the event, they emphasized on the significance of bilateral military cooperation.

The exercises, conducted at the Foreign Training Node, demonstrated the commitment of both countries to counter terrorism and peacekeeping operations.

The closing ceremony marked the successful culmination of weeks of rigorous training, fostering stronger ties and mutual understanding between India and France in defence affairs.
