Itanagar, April 23: To foster harmony and development in the remote regions of Arunachal Pradesh, the Indian Army has launched multiple infrastructure and healthcare projects in Vibrant Village Tuting, Upper Siang District. This initiative is part of the Army’s flagship ‘Operation Sadbhavana,’ aimed at winning the hearts and minds of the local populace.
The Spear Corps, in collaboration with the civil administration under the Siang Brigade, has dedicated a range of community and infrastructure projects to the people of Tuting and Bishing. Tuting Sub Division, a remote location in Arunachal and Bishing, one of the first villages in Upper Siang District, are the primary beneficiaries of these initiatives.
In Tuting, the projects include a fully equipped ambulance for sustained emergency medical services, an upgraded Anganwadi & Veterinary Hospital, and a Children’s Park cum open Gym for recreational activities. Bishing village has seen the construction of a community hall for social gatherings and the upgradation of a Primary School.
These initiatives are part of the broader Vibrant Villages Programme (VVP), a government-led effort to uplift rural communities and promote comprehensive development in villages located near the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China.
