Shillong, Jan 5: The first generation beta baby has been named as Frankie Remruatdika Zadeng. You might wonder, what does generation beta or Gen Beta means?
The term “Generation Beta” was introduced by Australian futurist Mark McCrindle to describe children born between 2025 and 2039. This generational label follows Generation Alpha, which includes children born from 2010 to 2024.
Frankie born on January 1, 2025 at 12:03 am weighs around 3.12 kgs. He was born to Ramzirmawii and ZD Remruatsanga, who reside in Khatla East, Aizaw at Synod Hospital, Durtlang, Aizawl.
Sister Lalchhuanawmi of Synod Hospital’s Lawmna Ward confirmed that the newborn was in good health with no complications.
Speaking to the media, a delighted Ramzirmawii expressed her joy, saying, “I feel deeply happy and blessed to give birth to the first Beta boy in the country.”
Frankie’s arrival symbolizes not just the beginning of 2025 but also the dawn of Generation Beta in India. His birth marks a historic moment, both for Mizoram and the nation.
