Mizoram's fight against tuberculosis (TB) saw key developments as health officials gathered for the National TB Elimination Programme's first quarter review of 2024. The meeting was held at the Conference Hall of the DHS old building, Aizawl, on April 30. he meeting was chaired by Dr. Febiola Kharkongor, State TB Officer.
The Ophthalmological Society of Mizoram hosted the 8th Eastern India Zonal Ophthalmological Congress (EIZOC) 2024 at the Aizawl Club from April 26 to April 27. The highly anticipated Miss Mizoram 2024 pageant reached its crescendo last night with the Grand Finale held in the state capital Aizawl. After months of grueling auditions and competitions, Jennifer Lalrinzuali from Republic Veng was crowned the new Miss Mizoram, walking away with a grand prize of Rs. 2 lakh in cash, a brand new CK Vespa Scooter, and the prestigious title of Brand Ambassador for the Department of Women and Child Development.
He had said, “MNF and the BJP work together for development, but not on the Mizo and religious issues and we do not say ‘ji saheb’ (yes, sir) to whatever they say." he said.
