Shillong, Mar 11: The Joint Action Committee (JAC) of Hima Sohiong staged a protest in the office premises of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) on Friday demanding the removal of the Lyngdoh of Hima Sohiong, Bashemphang Thabah.

The group of protestors led by the JAC secretary, Marchkupar Thabah, marched to the KHADC office with black flags and sloganeering against the KHADC CEM Titos Chyne and the EM Elaka, Jambor War.The JAC demanded to meet the KHADC CEM or the EM Elaka, on failing which they vandalised the entrance gate of office of the Executive Committee building. The protestors were later intercepted by the Police department.
