Tura, Aug 24: Japanese fashion and daily use product retail chain “USUPSO – The latest Retail Therapy Destination” opened its store in Tura city on Tuesday.

It is second store in Meghalaya, the first being in Shillong. There are eight such stores across Northeast including, Aizawl, Guwahati, Kohima, Imphal etc.

Frontline Worker Dr Ivonne Sangma, and Winkey Marak inaugurated the store at Tura.

The store has a vast range of daily use products  available at an affordable price.

Opening of Japanese store in Tura was a matter of pride for the residents, as Japanese are known for quality and taste.

The store is located at Lower Babupara, near Maternity and Child Hospital Tura.

Nirsha K Marak, proprietor of the store, said the Japanese designer store USUPSO offers cute and affordable lifestyle products. She also said that the store will provide employment opportunities to locals. She encouraged the entrepreneurs to come up with such ventures and tap the market opportunities.

The store has made introductory discount schemes to customers even at items which are already very low priced.
