Jowai, May 15: After years of legal proceedings, the Session Court Judge in the West Jaintia Hills District, Jowai, has delivered justice in the murder case of Lang Pale, which occurred on February 17, 2008, implicating Herman Shylla.
The case, registered under Jowai PS Case No. 19(2)2008 U/S 302/34 IPC, underwent thorough investigation by SI M. Myrboh, leading to the charge sheeting of Herman Shylla under Section 304 IPC.
The Court has sentenced the perpetrator to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment, coupled with an additional two months of simple imprisonment. Furthermore, in recognition of the loss suffered by the victim’s family, the Court has ordered compensation amounting to Rs. 300,000/- (Three Lakhs).
