Shillong, March 4: KHADC chief Shemborlang Rynjah on Tuesday allotted portfolios to the members of the Voice of the People Party (VPP)-led executive committee keeping the general administration, posting & transfer, establishment, appointment, market, elaka, forest and others to himself.
Portfolios were accordingly distributed after the list of seven executive members was approved by the governor, sources said.
Mawthadraishan MDC Powel Sohkhlet was made in-charge IT, Land & Development while Nongthymmai MDC Winston Tony Lyngdoh will be looking after Labour, Trade, Enforcement and Revenue, Laitumkhrah-Malki MDC Deiti Majaw – Law & Legal matters, Marriage &Divorce, Town Committee, Mylliem MDC Aibandaplin L. Nonglait – Health & Sanitation, Education, Mawkyrwat MDC Pynkhraw Kharjahrin – council buildings and council assets, building byelaws, Umroi MDC Isnei Hinge – water resource, fisheries and Mawkynrew MDC Seiborlang Warbah – finance.
