KHNAM willing to work with UDP and HSPDP if they leave MDA

Must read

Shillong, June 3: The Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement (KHNAM) on Saturday said it is willing to work with the United Democratic Party (UDP) and the Hill State People’s Democratic Party (HSPDP) if they come out of the NPP-led Meghalaya Democratic Alliance government.

“If they (UDP and HSPDP) want us to work together, they have to come out of the MDA…,” KHNAM working president Thomas Passah told reporters after the general council meeting of the party held at Jaiaw.

He was referring to the recent decision of the UDP and HSPDP to strengthen the spirit of regionalism by reconstituting the Regional Democratic Alliance (RDA).

“But as long as they are having both their feet including head and whole body in the MDA and also the North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA), there is no question for us to even think of working with them, it is not even possible,” Passah stated.
