Leaders of UDP, Congress and TMC quit party to support NPP ahead of Lok Sabha elections

Shillong, April 2: Big Boost to the National People’s Party (NPP) ahead of Lok Sabha polls as key leaders from the United Democratic Party, the Indian National Congress, and the Trinamool Congress from Mawryngkneng Constituency join the party on Tuesday.

The leaders were welcomed by State Working President Hamletson Dohling, KHADC CEM and MDC of Sohryngkham, Pyniaid Sing Syiem, and other party leaders.

Speaking to reporters after the welcoming program, NPP spokesperson, HM Shangpliang said that the leaders who joined the NPP today came with a motive to support the NPP candidate of Shillong Seat, Dr. Ampareen Lyngdoh.

Shangpliang informed that the leaders will be officially welcome to the NPP fold in a program at Mawryngkneng on April 6.
